Whenever you take children to the wildlife refuge, you sure see a lot of butts. Theirs and every other critter you could have beautifully photographed, but they scared away.
If you’d like to see more of this set, it’s here.

Last week I photographed our cousins to commemorate their 2nd birthday. About twice a year they ask me to make them custom stationery to send to their friends and family- and this is this season’s set. How cute are these toddlers?! It’s always such an honor to be able to mark the special events in their lives with a little photo session!
Since it was a personal project, and not for sale, I used the free fonts Grinched and MTF Doodle to mimic the look of the twins favorite TV show and birthday party theme, Yo Gabba Gabba. The “logo” consists of the standard talk bubble photoshop shape with a hand drawn embellishment and ribbon. Easy peasy.
Again with the baby chicks, I know, but LOOK AT THIS CUTENESS!!!
We ended up with 9 baby silkie bantam chicks, and mom is taking good care of her babies. How fun is this?!
P.S. You can look at my Backyard Chickens flickr set if you want.
My photoblog has suffered from chronic database errors for some time. I hated to do it, but I had to start fresh. And so, with this post and a fancy new layout by Maddie at Better In Pink, I’m beginning again.
Until I get moved in again here, you can see much of my photography on my flickr stream or over at Rhodes Creative, which is my everything-blog.
