Identify This Tree!?

Mystery Tree We have this fabulous tree on our property and for 9 months we’ve been trying to identify it. It has multiple trunks, grows similar to bamboo- in sections. During the spring it blooms all over with these wispy pink seed pods and so we’ve taken to calling it our “truffula tree”. We’ve asked our neighbors, looked around at gardening stores, posted photos on flickr and twitter- no luck! Any ideas?
